Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Shorties (the "Service"), operated by ULADZISLAU ZHURAULIOU ("we", "us", "our"), based in Poland. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Shorties is a web application that helps you generate short vertical video clips ("shorts") from longer source videos, including features such as automatic clip detection, subtitles, multiple output formats and customizable templates. We may add, change or remove features at any time.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.
  • You may sign in using third-party authentication (e.g. Google). Your use of that provider is subject to its own terms.

3. Plans, Credits and Billing

  • The Service is offered on subscription plans that include a monthly allowance of credits. Credits are consumed when you process videos (1 credit per minute of source video, rounded up).
  • You may also purchase additional credits as one-time top-ups.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal.
  • Prices are shown in EUR and may exclude taxes, which are added where required by law.
  • Payments are processed by our payment provider and merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy (see Section 4). We do not store your full payment card details.
  • Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

4. Payments and Merchant of Record

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for transactions and handles billing, tax collection and payment processing. By making a purchase you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's applicable terms.

5. Your Content

  • You retain ownership of the videos and other materials you upload ("Your Content").
  • You grant us a limited license to store, process and transform Your Content solely to provide the Service to you.
  • You represent that you own or have all necessary rights to Your Content and that processing it does not infringe any third-party rights or violate any law.
  • You are solely responsible for the content you upload and the shorts you publish.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • upload or generate content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, hateful, or sexually exploitative of minors;
  • violate the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
  • attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
  • resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated output will meet your expectations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we may delete your data subject to our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.
